Game Update #1

Hello, everyone!

We have a small game update that is now live on all platforms.


  • PC Only – When starting the game, “Hardware Auto-detection” will be enabled. This setting allows the game to choose the best graphics settings for your system. This will resolve some graphics issues that players are experiencing.  
  • PC Only – The Advanced Video Options have also been moved below ‘Video Options’ on the options page. 
  • PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 – Players can now invert the controller input in the accessibility options.

Fixed Bugs 

  1. PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 – The baby turtle no longer gets stuck when both brothers drop the baby turtle on the slide in chapter 6. 
  1. PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 – Little Brother no longer appears to be levitating when Big Brother forcefully pulls him while climbing the iron gate in Chapter 4. 
  1. PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 – Both brothers do not levitate in the air if they try to interact with the ‘Hand glider’ in Chapter 4. 
  1. PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 – The ‘Vibration’ option no longer remains active during gameplay even after the vibration option is set to ‘Off’ in the accessibility settings during Chapter 2. 
  1. PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 – Fixed an LOD issues that occurred on the ground texture for a fraction of a second while pointing towards the big tower during the cutscene in Chapter 4. 
  1. PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 – In Chapter 1, after the angry dog, the waterfall animation now appears fully visible. 
  1. PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 – Fixed a typo in the description for the ‘Call of the giants’ achievement. 
  1. PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 – Corrections to game credits. 
  1. PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 – The brothers no longer move in a jittery manner when stopping in the middle of the ledge in Chapter 1,  
  1. Xbox, PlayStation 5 – The correct game thumbnail image is displayed for PS5 & Xbox Series X|S in the game library. 
  1. Xbox, PlayStation 5 – Fixed an issue that allowed the ‘Troll Boss’ to get stuck near a manhole when charging the little brother in Chapter 2. 
  1. PlayStation 5 – Corrected the thumbnail icon displayed in the ‘Trophies’ set section. 
  1. PC – Corrected a bug that could freeze the game on the ‘Main Menu’ while spamming the multiple buttons and menu choices.  
  1. PC – Corrected an issue that would cause the Big Brother to get stuck while climbing a ledge if the player was cycling the up/down thumbstick near the Troll house in Chapter 1.  
  1. PC – Fixed an issue that would cause the little brother to fly into the air when pushing against a specific part of the wall near the bridge of Chapter 3 
  1. PC – Fixed an issue that resulted in Korean keyboards not allowing input for the ‘CTRL’ key.  
  1. PC – The correct thumbnail icon is now displayed in the game installation folder.

Who is the Developer and Publisher of the Remake? The Brothers Remake developer is AvantGarden, a development studio located in Italy. AvantGarden is a subsidiary of 505 Games who is the publisher of the game.

Why a Remake?
The original Brothers game has recently celebrated its ten year anniversary, it felt appropriate to update the game to modern day specs so a new generation can experience the story.

What parts of the game have been remade?
The remake features updated environments, high-quality rendering, completely remade landscapes and volumetric fog and lighting. New secrets have been added and additional lore to discover.

Characters have been remodeled based on the original concept art and include a wide array of expressions, high-res textures and a completely new animations.

Music has been re-recorded with a live orchestra to bring your adventure to all new heights.
